Rebound Deflector
Invented and designed by Columbus Blue Jackets Assistant Coach Kenny McCudden.
The Genesis of the REBOUND DEFLECTOR
Ice Company Hockey and Bar Down Enterprises have partnered up to launch a new training device called the Rebound Deflector. The innovation was created by professional coach Kenny McCudden from the Columbus Blue Jackets. The concept of the Rebound Deflector is to simulate a broken play and create unpredictable rebounds all over the ice. The skill of knocking down pucks, and the reaction to retrievals happens so much in today’s game with the layers of defensive play. The Rebound Deflector is recommended for the highest level of play down to the experienced youth level player. A video file free of charge will be accessible to the purchaser of the Rebound Deflector on its on ice use.
The Rebound Deflector is manufactured in the U.S. from a steel foundry. The unit weighs one hundred pounds and is BUILT TO LAST. Transport to and from the ice is rested upon castors for a two wheeler effect, and can fit sideways through any bench door. The unit slides on the ice for easy maneuverability by just pushing it along. The Rebound Deflector is powdered coated black so the puck gets lost when returned from the unit.
